A Sensitive Lands Working Group was established in 2003 to help Blueprint in the identification, prioritization, and acquisition of environmentally sensitive lands. This volunteer, eight person group met with Tallahassee-Leon County Planning Department and Blueprint 2000 staff to develop the acquisition/prioritization criteria and assess the merit of properties within the Headwaters of the St. Marks, Black Creek, and the sink area of Eastern Leon County. The Working Group prioritized the targeted parcels from priority 1 to 4, based on the criteria that were established by the Working Group. Identified parcels within each target area were collectively presented to the Intergovernmental Agency for approval.
