PUBLIC
AND AGENCY INVOLVEMENT/INPUT
Public involvement is an important
aspect of the project development process. Public involvement
includes communicating to all interested persons, groups
and government organizations information regarding the
development of the project. Property owners adjacent
to the project, including those not subject to Right-of-Way
acquisition and other interested citizens shall be informed
about the project.
Preferred Alternative Public Meeting
The Preferred Alternative Meeting
was held on August 13, 2009 at the Student Union Ballroom
on the Tallahassee Community College campus. The purpose
of the meeting was to share with citizens the results
of the detailed analyses conducted for the Widening
and Realignment Alternatives for the Capital Circle
Southwest Project Development and Environment (PD&E)
Study. The meeting provided an opportunity for interested
citizens to review the evaluations for each alternative
and share their ideas and concerns with the project
team. The results of the evaluations and comments from
the Preferred Alternative Public Meeting will be presented
to the Intergovernmental Agency Board at their September
21, 2009 Board Meeting.
